Recoverit can be dispensed from a vessel or aircraft, minimizing slick dispersion and maximizing spill containment, and/or blown below the surface, as Recoverit will bring oil to the surface. It starts working on contact sequestering and coagulating the oil (also adsorbing the hazardous fumes), forming a floating gelatinous mass “held on the surface” until vessels arrive for collection. It works equally well in wet or dry weather, and rough seas accelerate the process. The “spill recovery” can be done effectively and efficiently in a continuous process ‘in-situ'.

Application & Usage

RECOVERIT is a sorbent material and consists solely of
the materials listed in section 300.915(g)(1) of the NCP.

• Recoverit granules are spread over the spill from an aircraft or vessel.
• Recoverit causes the oil to coagulate, sequestering the oil, limiting or preventing spill dispersion.
• Recoverit adsorbs the oil, forming a glutinous gel, and holds the oil afloat on the surface.
• Recoverit also adsorbs the vapors from the oil.
